Each program follows a 6-week alternating model designed to deepen insight, stabilize the nervous system, and integrate change into daily life.

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines the neuroplasticity-enhancing effects of ketamine with structured psychotherapy sessions to support deeper insight, nervous system regulation, and lasting behavioral change. Unlike recreational or standalone ketamine infusions, KAP is a clinical, therapeutically-guided experience with preparation, support, and integration built in.

At Sonoran Sun Wellness, KAP is offered only to patients who have undergone a clinical evaluation and been determined to be appropriate candidates.

Our KAP Program Structure (6-Week Alternating Model)

Week 1 — KAP Medicine Session

Week 2 — Integration Therapy (billed to insurance as psychotherapy)

Week 3 — KAP Medicine Session

Week 4 — Integration Therapy (billed to insurance as psychotherapy)

Week 5 — KAP Medicine Session

Week 6 — Integration Therapy (billed to insurance as psychotherapy)

Minimum commitment: 3 medicine sessions. Integration sessions are billed as standard 60-minute psychotherapy to your insurance.

Ketamine medication (clinic provided)
2-3 hour therapeutically supported experience
Pre-session preparation and post-session support
Clinical monitoring and safety oversight throughout

What's Included in Each Integration Session

60-minute psychotherapy session billed to insurance
Meaning-making and insight processing
Somatic stabilization and nervous system support
Behavioral integration planning
Symptom tracking and clinical progress documentation

KAP Pricing

Standard KAP Series (3 Medicine Sessions):

$350 per medicine session — $1,050 total for 3-session series

Integration sessions billed to your insurance as standard psychotherapy

KAP + Reiki Enhanced Series (3 Medicine Sessions):

$450 per medicine session — $1,350 total for 3-session series

Reiki offered as an optional supportive adjunct within each session — not billed separately

Important billing note: Reiki is optional, provided only with client consent, and is not billed to insurance. Integration sessions are billed strictly as licensed psychotherapy services.
